Introduction
Candibean provides a digital entertainment wallet to help users set aside funds for events and experiences. By using the Candibean app, you agree to these terms.
User Eligibility
- Users must be at least 18 years old.
- Candibean operates only in South Africa.
Wallet Funding & Fees
- Monthly Top-Ups: Users choose a Monthly Top-Up option to fund their entertainment wallet.
- Service Fee: A flat monthly service fee of R35.00 is deducted automatically from every monthly top-up transaction. The remaining balance is credited to your wallet.
- Insufficient Funds Top-Up: If your wallet balance is insufficient for a specific ticket request or pot contribution, you may perform an immediate Top-Up for the difference. This transaction incurs an additional 7% processing fee which is added to the charge amount and is not credited to your wallet.
- Activation Fee: There is currently no activation fee for new accounts.
- Usage: Wallet balance is used exclusively for approved ticket requests, ride vouchers, savings pots, or transfers within the ecosystem.
- Control: Users remain in control of when and how to spend funds.
Savings Pots
- Creation: Users may create Savings Pots to set aside funds for specific future events or goals.
- Contributions: Funds can be contributed to a Pot from your main wallet balance or via an immediate Top-Up.
- Usage: Funds in a Pot are reserved for that specific goal but can be released back to your main wallet if the Pot is disbanded.
Referral Program
- Rewards: Users earn a commission of R20.00 for every successful new subscriber referred using their unique code.
- Withdrawals: Referral earnings can only be withdrawn to a bank account once the earnings balance reaches a minimum of R500.00.
- Transfers: Earnings below the withdrawal limit may be transferred to your own entertainment wallet for spending within the app.
Ticket Requests and Purchase
- Processing: Candibean purchases tickets on behalf of users using the available wallet balance.
- Event Search: The app includes an event search feature powered by Ticketmaster to assist you in finding events. This is for browsing and information purposes only. Candibean operates independently and purchases tickets from official vendors (e.g., Ticketpro, Computicket) based on your request.
- Pricing: Event prices depend on third-party sellers and market availability.
- Delivery: Ticket delivery occurs digitally within the app or via email.
User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate personal and banking information when registering or requesting withdrawals.
- Keep app credentials secure.
- Review event details before submitting a request.
Service Changes and Updates
- Candibean may update features, fees, or policies at any time.
- Users will be notified of material changes within the app.
Limitation of Liability
- Candibean is not responsible for third-party event cancellations, postponements, or price changes.
- Wallet funds are restored to your balance if Candibean fails to deliver an approved ticket due to internal error.
- Candibean is not liable for losses due to user misuse, fraud, or app security breaches.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by South African law.
